  • President Akufo-Addo accepts Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah’s resignation

    • He added that it should not be made to look as though Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah upon sober reflection decided to do the needful, stating that it would be tantamount to deceiving the country.

    Former Deputy Finance Minister under the John Mahama Administration, Hon. Fiifi Kwetey, has said that Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah was ignorant of the implications of his actions.

    • Commenting on the president’s dismissal of Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah, he said he was ignorant of the legal consequences.

    The Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC), Nana Akomea, has stated that Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah’s decision to visit voter registration centres in his constituency on the heels of his positive Covid-19 test was a flawed one.

    Written By Dr Elliot Koranteng Tannor - It’s big news that a sitting Member of Parliament representing Tema West constituency and the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry in Ghana, Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah, who tested positive for COVID-19 was found at some registrations centres (when he was supposed to be in isolation) and has received massive backlash from all Ghanaians including the President of Ghana.

    • "I think it was unfortunate for him to have gone ahead to continue to monitor the registration exercise even as he is aware that he has tested positive, the driver has tested positive", he stated.

    The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. John Boadu, has chastised the Tema West Member of Parliament and Deputy Trade Minister, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah.
